Well put about the challenges...and if you observe and pay attention, you can really see each of those challenges.
Take fractal measurements; it is a form of measurement that they use to measure stuff like the circumference of a shoreline...that shoreline's circumference contains so many cracks and crevices that it cannot be measured with a straight line. The fractals are infinite.
We cannot measure things - we only make up our own rules to edify our own egos and false sense of security. The way this entire planet is run is based on rules made up over centuries. These rules have gotten more and more ludicrous as time goes on. But we have progressed enough to know that the Earth is not flat - other than that, our brains cannot evolve enough to move from that one perfect moment of realization to the next without causing some kind of meltdown (i.e. how can the Earth possibly be round - I just cannot believe that!).
So I guess if you "train your brain" more and more every day, you can gt outside of the collective unconscious and break out of the herd - but don't draw too much attention to yourself unless you are an artist.
That's what is great about being an artist. It's like a license to think outside of the herd!
