When I was younger I was told that women who go through menopause are kind of crazy and mean because their hormones change. Being post-menopausal, I have concluded that the reason women are so crazy and mean during menopause is that a part of their brain that has never functioned properly before is activated - the part that makes them realize what the truth is about reality...that all the pretty fairy princess stories they were told when they were younger are not true.
When they realize and accept the big illusion, they get very angry at the deception of having lived a lie. To keep their sanity, they must make their own fairy tale come true by acknowledging the truth about life and creating a fantasy world of their own all over again.
