This "Magic Chair" was scheduled to appear at Red Dot Miami December 2012.  Jayson Samuel of Artisan Direct Ltd. pulled it out of the show after I paid $1025.  He laughed at me on the phone when I asked him to refund my money.  I love MAGIC CHAIR and it will live on.

Hi Virginia
First of all, I think your chair is wonderful, a work of art. And I'm sorry about what happened to you with Jayson Samuel. The reason I write is that I am one of the creators of a website called Gallery Confidential, the goal of which is to prevent abuse of artists by irresponsible dealers. There has been a thread about Artisan Direct on our forum for a while, but over the last two days we had two complaints against Jayson Samuel Gallery. It is unusual to get such a unanimous opinion, so we decided to investigate further.
If you could please go to the website, and write some specifics about your experience with Jayson Samuel, (the website is completely anonymous, but you can post your name if you want), we will send it to as many artists/facebook fans as we can - this guy seems like such a scumbag that artists ought to be warned.
Thank you

Virginia,

All the thanks is owed to you! Our website is just a forum-- it's the contributions from artists such as yourself by which the site gains everything. Don't ever stop producing art, you've got extraordinary talent! And please keep us at GC updated of all of your experiences. Welcome to the community!
